Dear Caregivers and Members,

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce has implemented an elevated set of safe distancing measures, as a major circuit breaker to pre-empt the trend of increasing local transmission of COVID-19.  The aim is to reduce much more significantly movements and interactions in public and private places, and encourage everyone to stay at home unless necessary for essential purposes.

Suspension of Services and Activities at DSA (Singapore)

DSA(S) has been adhering to the advisory shared by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce and have our business continuity plans in place to ensure that our operations continue with minimal disruption.   Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have implemented work from home policies for our staff, suspended non-essential services and activities and placed on hold all major events and activities.

However, with the heightened safe distancing measures for this period, DSA(S) will temporarily suspend our services from 7 April to 4 May 2020 (inclusive).  Our staff will be working from their homes and we will continue to conduct our internal meetings, daily operations and open our communication channels with our learners and caregivers remotely.

Home-Based Learning & On-Line Intuitive Learning

As our learners will be spending more time at home during this period, we would like to encourage our caregivers not to disrupt your child’s learning routine and to take this opportunity to play a more active role in steering your child/ward’s learning through technology.

Our training officers will carry out Home Based Learning (HBL) with your child/ward under the Adult Enhancement Programme (AEP) and Independent Living and Training (ILT) Centre programme with effect from today.  These HBL materials are adapted from the activity schedules planned for each group of learners in these two center-based programmes and it will be disseminated on a weekly basis on every Monday via email.  Our training officers will also kick-start an on-line intuitive learning platform for these groups of learners on a weekly basis starting this Tuesday and they will contact the respective caregivers to make the necessary time slot arrangement.

For learners who are not enrolled in the above two programmes, our training officers have also prepared a set of Covid-19 instructional materials for your use.  You may select the level of instruction appropriate to your child.

Be Safe

At DSA(S), we will continue to provide you with regular advisory updates via email or WhatsApp or you could check the MOH website at for the latest measures. Please do not hesitate to contact us at Tel: 6500 9321 or email: if you need further clarification or assistance.
